Vigil Planned For Victim Of Craigslist Shooting
DETROIT (WWJ) - A candle light vigil is planned for Johnathan Clements, killed after meeting with a person who responded to an ad posted on Craigslist.
The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in Romeo at the K-Mart Plaza on 31 Mile and Van Dyke Road at the Big Rock, according to Clements brother, Michael Clements.
Hazel Park Police announced an arrest Friday in the shooting death of 19-year old Johnathan Clements earlier this week in Hazel Park.
Investigators say Clements was shot and killed in front of his home by someone he met on Craigslist to buy a cell phone from for $95 dollars.
Clements funeral is Monday in Washington Township and family members have set-up a memorial fund through TCF Bank to help cover burial costs.
"Anyone can help, anyone can walk into any TCF location and say they want to donate to the Johnathan Clements Memorial Fund, that just helps out with everything going on," says Michael Clements.
