Victim's Dad Demands Info In Oakland County Child Killer Case
PONTIAC (WWJ) - An Oakland County judge is siding with a local man when it comes to his request for information in the Oakland County Child Killer case.
Barry King, whose son Timothy was one of four children killed in the mid 1970's, filed a Freedom of Information Act request for information about the case, but Prosecutor Jessica Cooper denied the request saying the release of information could impede the investigation.
The judge gave Cooper three weeks to come up with reasons why the information shouldn't be released.
Speaking live earlier Wednesday on WWJ Newsradio 950, King said he wants the whole file, including information on a suspect Christopher Busch.
"I want to know the search warrant that they got for the ... Busch's examination of his house. And I want to know the procedures they follow when the suspect is dead," said King. "Because Miss. Cooper's said several times that she's not interested to Busch 'cause he's dead."
