Verizon Wireless Launches 4G LTE Network In Lansing and Flint

Verizon Wireless will launch its Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution network in Lansing and Flint Thursday, June 16. The new network offers speeds up to 10 times faster than the company's 3G network.

In Lansing, the new network covers nearly 1,200 square miles and approximately 330,000 people and is bordered by the following major roads:

* North -- Along I-69 between Business Loop 69 and US-27
* South -- Along I-96 from Webberville to US-27/I-69
* East -- Meridian Road just east of Okemos
* West -- I-96-US-27

In Flint, the new network covers nearly 688 square miles and approximately 440,000 people and is bordered by the following major roads:

* North -- I-75 at Birch Run
* South -- I-75 at Holly
* East -- I-69 at Davison
* West -- I-69 at Corunna

A variety of new smartphones, tablets, hotspots and notebooks are also available to tap the fast speeds of the new network. Lansing and Flint join 74 markets nationwide that now have 4G LTE service.
