Verizon Rolls Out 4G LTE In South Central Michigan, Near Complete State Coverage
SOUTHFIELD -- Verizon Wireless has expanded its 4G LTE network to more of Branch, Hillsdale and Jackson counties including the communities of Bronson, Brooklyn, Coldwater, Hillsdale, Jonesville, Litchfield, Ransom, and Tekonsha.
The expansion also adds 4G LTE coverage along US-12 from Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn eastward to Bronson.
Verizon Wireless was the first national wireless provider in the United States to build and operate a large-scale 4G LTE network -- the most advanced wireless network technology available, with speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. Residents, business users and vacationers to Branch, Hillsdale, and Jackson counties can stream video with no buffering delays, share photos as they're shot and download songs in seconds.
Verizon is in the final stages of building out its 4G LTE network in Michigan.
Since the company began rolling it out in late 2010, Verizon has expanded to the following areas, including most surrounding cities and towns:
