Valenti and Foster: What We Think We Know About Michigan State vs. Notre Dame
Michigan State and Notre Dame square off this weekend in what has traditionally been a must-watch game every season, but with so many questions about both teams, what are you expecting from the match up this year?
97.1 The Ticket's Terry Foster has some idea of what he expects from the Spartans on Saturday afternoon, but Mike Valenti wants to know what you think. Tweet him your thoughts @MikeValenti971.
"I suspect that Michigan State's offense is still not good," Terry said on the Valenti And Foster Show on Friday. "It doesn't matter what Conner Cook did against Youngstown State and I suspect that the quarterback situation is still not settled. Can the Notre Dame offense move the ball against the Spartan defense? It will probably be a low scoring game, could be decided in the last 6-7 minutes."
"I don't have any idea what's going to happen." Mike bluntly states. "I don't expect (the Spartans) to beat Notre Dame, but I'm hopeful."
Notre Dame has defeated the Spartans in the last two match ups in upset fashion, being ranked lower during both meetings. Sophomore quarterback Connor Cook will start for Michigan State on the road for the first time in his career after going 15-22 with 202 passing yards and four touchdowns in last weekend's rout of Youngstown State.
What do you expect from the Spartans this weekend? What will it take for Michigan State upset #22 Notre Dame on the road?
