Unnamed Coach On Harbaugh: 'Stop Taking Your Shirt Off At Camps'

CBS DETROIT - In the wake of all the attention Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has received in his brief tenure with the Wolverines, who hired him after the team went 5-7 last season, ESPN Insider asked a number of college football coaches for their views on the popular and polarizing Harbaugh.
One of the latest stories featuring Harbaugh revolved around his antics at one of his satellite camps. The coach took his shirt off and participated in drills, a bit of an odd move that garnered tons of attention.
One of the coaches with whom ESPN spoke mentioned that incident.
"I think he's weird," one Big Ten assistant told ESPN. "Some of this is, 'Bro you're 50. Stop taking your shirt off at camps.' I wouldn't do that, and I'm pretty weird ... But it's show business, man. Any publicity is good publicity."
Another coach noted that, while Harbaugh might be a little crazy, the craziness is also calculated.
"I know him or Michigan hired a hell of a PR person to keep him in the media daily," a Pac-12 coach told ESPN. "It's an interesting approach ... I could give two s---- about stuff like that. Personally, I would rather see my kids get the attention."
There were plenty of positive comments about Harbaugh in the mix, though it does not appear anyone expects Michigan to be relevant immediately.
"He will get it going there," a Big 12 coach told ESPN. "Teams will try to kill them this year, but he will get it going."
