University Of Michigan Football And Basketball To Sport The Jordan Brand 'Jumpman' Logo
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - An announcement Thursday from NBA legend Michael Jordan saying University of Michigan will don the Jordan brand Jumpman logo for both football and basketball teams.
"I'm going to welcome my first football team to the Jordan family -- Go Blue," Jordan said to applause.
ESPN Business Reporter Darren Rovell says the idea for Michigan to go with the Jumpman brand was an idea from Jordan himself. The rest of the university's sports will wear the trademark Nike "Swoosh" pattern.
The Wolverines are the first school in the country to utilize the Jumpman logo on the football field.
