University Of Michigan Fan Still Recognized After ESPN Shot [VIDEO]
ANN ARBOR (WWJ/AP) - Over a year after ESPN aired a close-up shot of a University of Michigan student's astonished expression during a school football game, the Saginaw native says he still gets noticed in public often.
Chris Baldwin tells The Detroit News he has posed for hundreds of photos with those who recognized him from the game against Michigan State University.
The Big Ten Network tweeted the last play of the game which includes Baldwin at the 15 second mark.
Michigan State had scored to win, 27-23, in the final seconds off of a fumbled punt by University of Michigan.
Wearing a University of Michigan sweatshirt, Baldwin looked confused and miserable. His mouth was agape, his hands were his head, and his elbows splayed out.
Baldwin's mere seconds on TV garnered him national attention, including an invitation to present the College Football Play of the Year to Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio at ESPN's College Football Awards show.
