Uncle Ben's Changing Name To "Ben's Original," Will Debut New Packaging

(CBS DETROIT) – Uncle Ben's is changing its name to Ben's Original.

The rice brand is the latest to act this year amid conversations about race.

Ben's Original will also have a new image to go with the new name removing their current image of a Black man in a bow tie.

Parent company "Mars" says new packaging will debut next year.
