UM's Tauber Institute Shows How Companies Can Save Millions
ANN ARBOR -- Nearly three dozen teams of business and engineering students at the University of Michigan's Tauber Institute for Global Operations will present ways that some of the world's largest corporations can save money in their operations during Spotlight 2011, being held Friday, Sept. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton in Ann Arbor.
The student teams will compete for scholarships and showcase their projects completed during 14-week, paid summer internships at companies such as Boeing, BorgWarner, Cisco, Dell, Dow, Federal-Mogul, Ford, General Mills, General Motors, Masco, Meritor, Microsoft, OfficeMax, PepsiCo, Pfizer, UPS, Whirlpool and more.

The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a joint program of the UM Ross School of Business and College of Engineering. It provides training and skills to graduate business and engineering students in operations.
