U of M Officials Have A Plan To Prevent Fires
The University of Michigan and Ann Arbor police are teaming up to silence any concerns about fires on or near campus this fall.
Last semester saw several suspicious fires near campus, one of which was deliberately set at a house on South State Street that killed a 22-year old Eastern Michigan University student.
Several cars were also set on fire around the same time.
Student Matan Farris says the fire outbreak last semester still bothers him. A U of M spokeswoman says extra patrols will be in place in select areas on and near the Ann Arbor campus.
