U-M Police: Man Exposed Himself At 'Skyfall' Film Screening
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - A 52-year-old man was arrested for his alleged improper behavior during a film screening in Ann Arbor over the weekend.
The man is accused of masturbating during an outside showing of the latest James Bond movie "Skyfall" at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival
According to the University of Michigan Police crime summary, officers responded at 11:27 p.m. Sunday to 200 Fletcher Street. The summary stated the man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.
The man was processed and released, according to AnnArbor.com.
The case has been submitted to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office for potential charges.
WWJ Legal Analyst Charlie Langton said the man is probably looking at a 90-day misdemeanor.
"You can't just expose yourself to the world — just can't do it," said Langton, adding that if the man had touched someone — other than himself — the charge would likely be elevated to criminal sexual conduct.
As for prosecution of the case, Langton said, "There might be a proof problem." Unless someone snapped a photo — it's the man's word against the witness'.
Police said the man is not affiliated with the university.
His name was not released.
