Two Separate Freeway Crashes Claim 3 Lives
An accident on Northbound I-75 near Nadeau Road in Monroe County claimed the life of a pedestrian Sunday evening.
Police are trying to figure out why the person was on the freeway. State Police and the Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies shut down the northbound lanes for more than four hours as they conducted their investigation.
Meanwhile, Romulus and Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a tractor-trailer and a car on I-94 near Metro Airport Sunday afternoon. Two people were pronounced dead on the scene. Although not confirmed, freeway construction and distracted driving could be factors in the accident. The freeway was closed for several hours.
