Arrests Made In Downtown Mt. Clemens Robberies
MT. CLEMENS (WWJ) - Arrests have been made in the two robberies that took place in downtown Mount Clemens within minutes of each other early Saturday morning.
Officials tell WWJ both robberies happened on Macomb Place in downtown Mt. Clemens. Both victims were coming out of bars when the incidents happened.
Captain John Roberts says one of the victims, a man, was attacked before he was robbed. And a woman was robbed moments later.
His advice to people if they are all alone when they leave any establishment late at night.
"At night it's a good idea to be with other people, it's a little bit better than being by yourself, being aware of what's going on around you, so observing people coming closer or moving toward your area, you might want to avoid that - change your path, go in areas where there are other people," cautions Roberts.
The three suspects; two men - Quantrell Tyree Thompson, who is 17, Brandon Montrey Edwards, 20, and Shannon Bridgett Fox, a 27-year-old woman, who was waiting in the car when the robberies took place, were arraigned on Monday.
Investigators state that the suspects will be charged with armed robbery in addition to other possible charges the prosecutors are looking into as they examine the evidence.
