Two Injured In Truck Accident
An eight-year-old boy was among two people injured Wednesday morning in an unusual traffic accident on Detroit's west side.
According to police, a truck was too tall to drive underneath the train overpass at Stratton and Waterman Streets. When it hit the overpass, two large plastic tanks fell off the trailer and onto a car traveling behind.
The clearance sign for the trestle is 12 feet 8 inches. The truck driver said his truck is 12 feet 4 inches.
The child and an adult suffered minor injuries.
Both are expected to recover.
