Two Drivers Die In Head-On Collision On 8 Mile Road
NORTHVILLE TWP. (WWJ) - Northville Township police are investigating a tragic accident that left two people dead.
Police say the accident happened around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on 8 Mile Road and Sports Park Drive, between Beck and Napier Roads.
According to police, the driver of a pickup truck crossed the center line on 8 Mile Road and smashed head-on into another car. Both drivers died.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as a 82-year-old man from Lyon Township, while the other victim was identified as a 26-year-old man from Livonia.
Eight Mile Road was closed for several hours while police investigated, but has since reopened.
