A 37-year-old Tuscola County woman is $1 million richer after playing the Mega Millions game.

Shannon Dominowski matched the five white balls in the Nov. 8, 2024, Mega Millions drawing: 25-28-42-64-69. She bought her ticket on the Michigan Lottery's website.

"I don't play Mega Millions all that often, but when the jackpot gets high, I will buy a ticket here and there," said Dominowski. "Back in November, I was in my lottery account and happened to see the jackpot was growing, so I bought a ticket.

"The next day I logged in to my account, and I was absolutely floored when I saw that I had won $1 million! It is life-changing for me and my family."

Dominowski plans to invest her winnings for retirement.

The next drawing in the Mega Millions game is Friday night. The estimated jackpot is $165 million. Each ticket costs $2, and there is a $1 "Megaplier" option.

Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
