Tug-Of-War At The NFL Combine?
At the NFL combine there are plenty of drills that really have nothing to do with how well a player will perform on the field. If you have a guy who runs a 4.34 40 but can't make a cut side-to-side then what good does straight-ahead speed do for you? Maybe you have a 35-inch vertical as a lineman but you get blown out when you try to block, what good does that do? Maybe, just maybe, as a QB you complete all 40 passes in the passing drill but when a defensive player is rushing him he can't complete a pass, what good does that do? Well Karsch and Anderson's producer Khang came across this tug-of-war video on YouTube. Is this something you would like to see at the combine? How awesome would it be to see Mike Martin vs. Jerel Worthy in the tug-of-war. That would be must-see TV. Check out the video below and leave a comment if you would like to see this added to the NFL combine.
