Truck Rolls Over On Ambassador Bridge
It couldn't have happened at a worse time. A tractor-trailer rolled over during the afternoon rush Wednesday on the only bridge between Detroit and Windsor.
WWJ spoke with Ambassador Bridge Authority spokesman Phil Frame who described what happened.
"It was coming down from Canada there, and it got to the end of the bridge where there's a curve. And we think that it may have been going a little bit too fast. And we all know that the container wasn't fully secured." Frame said.
The rollover took place just 500 to 1,000 feet away from the toll-booths on the U.S. side. Frame said he thinks the large container was empty at the time of the accident.
Police say no one was injured.
Traffic was slowed for about 50 minutes, with three of the four bridge lane blocked. All lanes have since reopened.
