Troy Father Charged In Baby Daughter's Murder
TROY (WWJ/AP) - A Troy man has been charged with open murder, accused in the death of his 3-month-old daughter.
Kenneth Little, 25, was arraigned Thursday on an open count of murder. He's jailed without bond until his next court appearance Monday.
Police said they were called to the family's home about 2 a.m. Tuesday and found Kendalyn Little unresponsive on a rug in a basement bedroom with her father standing several feet away
Efforts to revive the little girl failed and she was declared dead at St. Johns Hospital Oakland.
The Oakland County Medical Examiner's officer later determined she was killed by blunt force to the head. Defense lawyer Richard Lustig told WXYZ-TV that another child may have killed the girl.
Bond was denied for Kenneth Little. He remained in the custody of the Oakland County Sheriff's Department Thursday evening.
