Troy Auto Engineering Firm Moving HQ To Georgia
HARTWELL, Ga. (AP) -- Georgia economic development officials say an engineering firm is moving its headquarters from suburban Detroit to northeast Georgia, creating 50 new full-time positions at the new site.
Officials say Field Service Engineering, which has been based in Troy, will move its headquarters to an industrial park off Interstate 85 in Hart County.
Field Service Engineering provides quality improvement consulting for automakers and auto suppliers, including rework and mitigation of parts projects that have gone awry, product inspection, transportation of hazardous materials, warehousing, assembly and kitting services, non-destructive product analysis and more.
Georgia officials say the company will invest $5 million in expanding its existing operations in Hart County, with plans to build a new 150,000-square-foot facility. The company plans to add 50 more positions to its current 30-person Hart County workforce, bringing the total number of employees to 80 when it reaches full operation in 2015.
