Trio Facing Several Charges After Home Invasion
BRANDON TWP. (WWJ) - Three young men are facing several charges following a home invasion in Brandon Township.
Nineteen-year old Rafael Cordero, 19-year old Darius Jarman and 22-year old Eddie Almodovar are each facing multiple counts of armed robbery and firearms charges.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the trio broke into a home in the 900 block of E. Glass Road near Sally Z Court around 10 a.m. Tuesday, in broad daylight.
The victim, who told police he knew one of the suspects, said the crooks held him at gunpoint before making off with gaming systems, electronics and a firearm. The victim also told police the thieves got away in a purple Chevrolet Impala.
Shortly after police put out a be on the lookout call for the vehicle, a trooper spotted the Impala on I-75 just south of Sashabaw Road and was able to initiate a traffic stop. All three suspects were then taken into custody.
According to police, five long guns -- including an AR-15 with a 30 round loaded magazine -- were recovered from the suspects' vehicle, along with multiple electronic devices.
All three suspects were arraigned Thursday in 52-2 District Court in Independence Township. Cordero, Jarman and Almodovar have each been charged with two counts of armed robbery, three counts of possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, and one count of receiving and concealing a stolen firearm.
Cordero was ordered held on a $250,000 cash bond, Jarman was ordered held on a $25,000 cash bond and Almodovar was ordered held on a $100,000 cash bond.
