Trial Date Set For Woman In Boyfriend's Burning
ROSEVILLE (AP) - A Macomb County judge has set an April 19 trial date for a Roseville woman accused of setting her boyfriend on fire, then chasing him with a butcher knife to try to force him to leave their apartment.
Forty-year-old Sheila Golly is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and assault with a dangerous weapon. Police say the couple were arguing Jan. 2 about the man's drinking when Golly poured nail polish on him. They say she used a lighter to set him afire. He was hospitalized for treatment.
She has said her boyfriend set himself ablaze and is wrongly blaming her.
Golly's 10-year-old child and a 5-year-old shared by the couple were home at the time.
