Trebek Fires Back At Famous SNL Sketch
By: Theron Dahlerup
After working with Stoney and Bill for all these years, we have had our fair share of disagreements. One of the biggest debates we have had is about Saturday Night Live. Both Stoney and Bill have said on and off the air that they think that SNL died when the cast that featured Chris Farley, Adam Sandler and David Spade left the acclaimed studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Center. Now I do love that cast, but being in my early 20's circa 2000-2006, I absolutely loved the cast that featured Will Ferrell, Darrell Hammond, Tracy Morgan and Jimmy Fallon. From sketch's like "Behind The Music: Blue Oyster Cult", Harry Caray, King Kong, Debbie Downer, Barry Gibb Talk Show and many, many more. But my favorite SNL sketch of all time is all of the Celebrity Jeopardy skits that featured Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek and Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery. The back and forth between the 2 of them is what made my generation fall in love with SNL.
Well this week on Jeopardy Alex Trebek took an opportunistic moment to take a shot at Ferrell and Hammond's famous sketch.
Here is one of the best Celebrity Jeopardy Skits from SNL. (Some language make me sort of NSFW)
