Train Derails In Woodhaven
WOODHAVEN (WWJ) - No injuries were reported in a train derailment in Woodhaven, that caused some problems for drivers in the afternoon commute.
Reporting from above the scene in Chopper 950, WWJ's Lance Howard said a couple of cars are off the tracks and, as a result.
Van Horn was completely blocked, both east and westbound, between 1-75 and Allen Road. Vreeland between Telegraph Road and Peters was also closed.
Police said they could not estimate a time when those streets would reopen.
The train belongs to Canadian National Railways. There was no immediate word on what caused the derailment.
