Toyota Cutting Production At Two Assembly Plants
DETROIT (WWJ) - Toyota executives in Brazil and Argentina say they are cutting production at two assembly plants for three days because they haven't gotten enough parts from Japan due to the earthquake and tsunami.
The announcement from Toyota's South America division says its Brazilian plant will suspend production of Corolla sedans on Tuesday and on two days in May.
The Argentine plant that produces Hilux pickup trucks and SW4 SUVs will halt second shift production for three days in May.
