Tony Ortiz: Stafford Set To Throw
According to the University of Georgia's website, the Lions' Matthew Stafford is one of four former Bulldogs quarterback that will be a part of the Legends' Challenge, an event that will take place at halftime of Georgia's spring game on Saturday. However, there's no confirmation that Stafford will be throwing at this event - remember, he's coming off surgery done in January on his throwing shoulder. Recent posts on Stafford's Twitter account indicate that he's started throwing again, as part of his rehab.
How important is a healthy Stafford to the Lions chances in 2010?? At least two longtime NFL observers - including Adam Schefter - have pegged Detroit as a playoff team in recent days.......provided Stafford can stay healthy throughout the entire 2011 season.
