Toddler Reunited With Family After Found Alone In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit toddler is back with his family after being found alone on the streets Thursday night.
The 2-year-old boy ended up with Detroit police after a concerned citizen found him alone in an alley in southwest Detroit around 7:15 p.m.
Officers initially checked the surrounding neighborhood, near Chopin and Michigan Avenue, but were unable to find his home. Fortunately, the boy was unharmed - just a little dirty.
About three-and-a-half hours passed before the parents reported the boy missing and police were able to identify him.
When his parents picked up the toddler at the police station, they said he had been under the care of his grandfather, who let the boy out in the yard when the toddler apparently wandered off.
