Todd Frazier Hits A HR For Teddy Kremer

This story is the reason I always wanted to get involved in sports. Teddy Kremer, a 30-year-old with Down syndrome, was the bat boy for the Cincinnati Reds last night. Kremer asked Todd Frazier to hit him a home run and that's exactly what happened. In the sixth inning, up 9-1, Frazier went to deep center field and crushed a HR. The scene that took place at home plate after the HR is something that Kremer will forever remember.
Frazier, who was greeted by a jumping and smiling Kremer, probably couldn't believe he actually had done what he was requested. "I started smiling even before I hit home plate because I knew it. They said he forgot to pick the bat up, so the umpire was yelling at him."

This is very similar to the episode of "Seinfeld" when New York Yankees outfielder Paul O'Neill was asked to hit two home runs to lift the spirits of a kid in a hospital and Kramer promised him that O'Neill would hit two. Why two you ask? Because in Kramer's eyes "two is better than one."
