Tips Sought To Identify Woman Who Robbed Genisys Credit Union
PONTIAC (WWJ) - Oakland County Sheriff deputies are looking for a woman who robbed a Pontiac credit union.
Investigators say she walked into the Genisys Credit Union on Woodward Ave., gave a note to a teller demanding all of the money, and implied she had a gun.
The robber made off with nearly $3,000, authorities said, fleeing on foot, heading south. A K9 unit was able to track her across Martin Luther King Blvd. for some distance until the scent was lost in a parking lot where it is believed she entered a vehicle.
Sheriff's officials said a red dye pack exploded as the suspect left the credit union. One $50 dollar bill with dye on it was recovered on the ground.
The suspect — whose image was captured on several security camera — is described as a black female about 40 years old. She had dark hair with blonde highlights.
The FBI has joined in the investigation.
