Tips Sought In Missing Teen's Disappearance

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A Southfield teen who family members say had been chatting with older men via social media is missing.

Police say 13-year old Kendall Fane was last seen at Levey Middle School on 9 Mile Road on Monday.

She left class to use the bathroom and never returned.  Police said Kendall may have been spotted at a Southfield Tim Hortons at approximately 10 a.m. after leaving school.

Family members say calls to her mobile phone go directly to her voicemail box, which is full.

"We're concerned that she is with an adult, and she is a minor," said Southfield police spokesman Nick Loussia. "We're hoping somebody sees her picture and calls us and we can locate her, return her to her family safe and sound."

Kendall is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and approximately 130 lbs with brown eyes and long, straight black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue button-up shirt, dark pants and a black pea coat and boots. She often wears eye glasses.

Anyone with information about the teen is asked to call Southfield police at 248-796-5500.
