Tips Sought In Detroit Boy's Disappearance
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit family is asking for the public's help to find a missing 13-year-old boy.
Jerone Hamler was last seen at around 6 p.m. Tuesday at his home on Manor Street near Plymouth and Meyers on the city's west side.
WWJ's Sandra McNeil spoke with Jerone's mom, Michelle Richardson.
"He just asked could he go outside. I asked him was he finished with his homework and he said yeah. I asked him where was he going and he said to play basketball or to go around the corner to his friend's house," Richardson said. "And I said OK, you know what time your curfew is -- and I haven't seen him."
Hamler said she and other relatives have been walking the streets but see no sign of Jerone.
Hamler is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build. He has light brown skin, hazel eyes and short, sandy hair.
Anyone with information about the boy's whereabouts asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-2069.
