Tips Sought In Case Of Woman Missing Since 1990
OKEMOS (WWJ) - The cold case team that's continuing the investigation into the now 20-year disappearance of an Okemos, Michigan woman is now hoping to generate more tips in the case.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Department has released several composite drawings of a man or the men who may be involved in the May 4, 1990 vanishing of then 30-year Paige Marie Renkoski.
She hasn't been seen since her abandoned car was found near Lansing.
The drawings are thanks to description from motorists who were traveling along westbound I-96 near the Fowlerville exit on the night Renkoski went missing.
Investigator William Lennihan tells WWJ Newsradio 950's Pat Sweeting he believes that somewhere in the case file there is a critical clue.
"And it's a matter now of deciding what information is pertinent and what information we can back up," Lennihan said.
Lennihan said that investigators will use new technology to check the area were Renkoski's remains may have been buried.
"We hope to put that technology to work in the spring. It will be ground (penetrating) radar to look at some sites that we've developed
If they can find her body, Lennihan said DNA evidence might help them identify her killer.
