Tip Leads To Minn. Arrest Of Mich. Murder Suspect
ROYAL OAK (WWJ/AP) - Oakland County Sheriffs officials say a man responsible for the Thanksgiving Day shooting death of a former girlfriend last year has been arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota. Police say 34-year-old Darius McCrary shot Fredericka Dixon in Royal Oak Township.
A tip from Crime Stoppers led police to McCrary early Thursday.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Department said Thursday that the arrest came in the Nov. 25, 2010, slaying of 39-year-old Fredericka Dixon, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a home in Royal Oak Township. Dixon's children were reportedly present when she was killed.
McCrary is currently in a St. Paul, Minnesota jail awaiting extradition back to Michigan, where he'll face first-degree murder charges.
