Time To Reserve Belle Isle Picnic Shelters For Summer

DETROIT (WWJ) - Are you planning a family reunion or picnic at Belle Isle this summer? If so, it is time to reserve your picnic shelter. 

The Detroit Recreation Department will begin taking reservations for Belle Isle picnic shelters at the Belle Isle Casino, Monday, March 28, through Wednesday, March 30, from 8 am until noon and from 1:30 pm until 3 pm. Doors will open at 7 am. 

Reservations for July will take place on March 28, followed by reservations for August on March 29. Reservations for May, June, and September will be held on March 30.

Following the three-day process, additional reservations will be available at the Belle Isle White House, located on Inselruhe Street, beginning Monday, April 4, from 9 am until noon and 2 pm until 3:30 pm.

Payment must be made in full at the time of reservation. Please pay by a money order or cashiers check. Personal checks and cash will not be accepted.
