Tigers Slugger Miguel Cabrera A Marvel At The Plate, A Leader In The Dugout
The team plane rumbled somewhere over the Midwestern skies as the Tigers headed to Minneapolis from Toronto for a four-game series against the Twins.
Slugger Miguel Cabrera gathered some of the younger players for an in-flight hitting clinic.
Cabrera wanted to make sure his Tigers teammates were in the right mind-set for the series -- and the remainder of the season. So he asked questions, digested their answers and doled out advice. His primary message to his teammates: Be confident in your swing and feel as if you own the park.
Cabrera talked about the confidence he feels in his hands, swing, stride, quickness and eyesight. And one word kept pouring from his mouth: believe.
