Tigers Rotation
Oh, they were tempting visions as the Tigers prepared for 2010.
Justin Verlander would be an ace. Rick Porcello was set for a dynamite sophomore season. Max Scherzer had become a third bullet in the rotation's chamber.
Those other starting pitchers were the clincher. They were irresistible because they appeared to be so promising: Jeremy Bonderman, back from two years of rehabilitation following arterial surgery in 2010; Nate Robertson, looking more like the 2006 version as he got ready for a comeback year; Armando Galarraga, shaking off a poor 2009 and seemingly set to rediscover his 2008 magic.
