Tigers RHP Sanchez Dealing With Inflammation In Triceps Area
LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Tigers right-hander Anibal Sanchez is dealing with inflammation in his triceps area.
Detroit manager Brad Ausmus told reporters Thursday the problem isn't too much of a concern. Sanchez is not expected to pick up a ball again until Monday.
Sanchez went 10-10 with a 4.99 ERA last year and did not pitch after Aug. 18 because of rotator cuff issues.
Also on Thursday, the Tigers announced they have agreed to terms on 2016 contracts with right-handers Jeff Ferrell, Michael Fulmer, Shane Greene, Montreal Robertson, Jose Valdez, Drew VerHagen and Alex Wilson; left-handers Blaine Hardy and Jairo Labourt; catcher James McCann; infielders Nick Castellanos and Dixon Machado; and outfielder Wynton Bernard.
