Tigers Pound White Sox 7-3

CHICAGO (WWJ/AP) - The Tigers were down by two runs at one point but a six-run fourth inning defined the win for the Detroit Tigers as they defeat the Chicago White Sox 7-3 on Sunday afternoon.

As heard on 97.1 The Ticket - Ryan Raburn hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to aid the Tigers in their second win in a row over the White Sox.

Miguel Cabrera homered for the second straight day helping the Tigers beat Chicago for the second time in as many days. Brad Penny got the start and the win for Detroit.

The Tigers won the last two in the weekend series at Chicago to move within 2 games of AL Central-leading Cleveland, which lost 2-0 to Texas on Sunday.

Detroit has won 11 of its last 12 games against the White Sox overall.

Stay tuned to 97.1 The Ticket as the Tigers head to Texas for a three game series beginning Monday.
