Tiger "No Mas" Woods [BLOG]

Admit it. When world number one Tiger Woods withdrew from The Honda Classic Sunday citing a bad back, you began to question many things. At a minimum, you questioned his man card. At the maximum, it gets much worse. Only he knows the reality.
Here are the numbers. Forget the fact that he has not won a major since 2008, and has lost the ability to do so. This has nothing to do with that.
In fact, he can still win the non-majors. I will bet anyone that he will win at least one more PGA Tour event.
This is about sportsmanship. In the long and storied career of Jack Nicklaus he withdrew from an event twice. 38 year old Tiger Woods has already withdrawn a total of seven times.
The most bothersome thing about those seven WDs is that they always seem to occur when he is playing very poorly, and never when he is in the hunt or playing well.
At The Honda, he was five over par for the day, and then pulled out on the 13th hole saying he had back spasms. Yet the day before he was five under par and showed no signs of injury.
Don't forget this is the same guy who said last year he injured his back sleeping on a bad hotel bed.
He owed it to the sponsors and to NBC (who never got to show Woods play on the weekend) to tough it out and finish the round unless he suffered a major injury.
Only Tiger knows how bad it really is. Yet we all know how bad his scores are when he tends to say "no mas".
