Ticket Details Announced For Red Wings-Avalanche Outdoor Stadium Series Matchup
NEW YORK (CBS Detroit) – A limited number of tickets to the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series featuring the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings at Coors Field on Feb. 27 will go on sale the week of Aug. 10 as part of a special offer to Avalanche season-ticket holders.
An exclusive offer for Red Wings season-ticket holders begins Aug. 24.
In January, the NHL announced the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series will be comprised of two games: the Avalanche vs. Red Wings at Coors Field on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. and the Minnesota Wild vs. Chicago Blackhawks at TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 3:30 p.m.
As part of the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series, two teams comprised of notable alumni from the Avalanche and Red Wings will play a special alumni game at Coors Field on Feb. 26. The alumni game will feature many of the Avalanche and Red Wings players who competed for those organizations from 1996-2002 when the teams faced each other in the Stanley Cup Playoffs five times, and combined to win five Stanley Cup championships.
The special pre-sale package offerings are a ticket to the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game at Coors Field and a ticket for the Feb. 26 alumni game. Further details regarding these sales will be sent to those groups by each club in the coming days.
This opportunity is available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Information regarding ticket availability for the general public will be released at a later date.
