Three reasons rappers and hip-hop artists should be in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame:
1. How do you define rock and roll? Isn't it more popular music starting in the early-to-mid 1950s than anything that can actually be defined?
2. Several so-called "soul" acts have been inducted. Why not the modern version of urban music?
3. Rock and roll, by its nature, involves niches. Country rock, punk rock, alternative rock, etc. Hip and hop and rap are just another niche.
