Three reasons the Tigers moved up quickly in the AL Central standings.
1. They have started to hit the ball. The Tigers' .325 batting average through Saturday was the best team batting average for any MLB team in June.
2. Justin Verlander has been a true ace - His last three starts were not only stellar, but were very much needed at the time.
3. The bullpen has improved dramatically.
