Three biggest factors that were revealed in the Red Wings' 3-2 to loss to Nashville in Game 1 of an opening-round Stanley Cup playoff series Wednesday:
1. The Red Wings were anything but overwhelmed by the Predators. If anything they carried the play. The Red Wings Henrik Zetterberg was the best player on the ice.
2. Nashville defenseman Shea Weber should be suspended for his hit to Zetterberg's head. If he is, the advantage will clearly shift to the Red Wings in Game 2 Friday.
3. The officiating in the National Hockey League remains a complete and utter embarrassment. The number of ticky tack penalties called on both teams took away from a tremendous first-round matchup.
