Threat Of Rain Postpones Tigers Game 4 Until Thursday
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) There was no rain in sight at the planned 8 p.m. start time, but a storm front on radar delayed the Detroit Tigers game Wednesday night -- and 90 minutes into the delay it was announced the game was postponed until 4:07 p.m. Thursday.

The tarp wasn't on the field -- but neither were the teams.
When the game resumes, the Tigers will face off against the New York Yankees for the fourth in the best of seven series. The Tigers are ahead 3-0, with fans pulling for a sweep.
The rain delay came following a beautiful, unseasonably warm 70 degree, sunny day in metro Detroit.
When the game still hadn't started by nearly 9 p.m. -- an hour after the start time -- Twitter was ablaze with angry fans. Detroit4lyfe wrote: "The way the first few games went, we're probably headed to the 4th inning right now with no rain yet."
CBSSports' Danny Knobler wrote, "In NY, fans boo players. In Detroit, they boo the weather radar." He, and others, pointed out rain was also predicted for Detroit Thursday and Friday. See the weather radar and forecast HERE.
