SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Up to 7,000 DTE Energy customers were without service Wednesday evening in Metro Detroit.
Scattered outages have been reported: in the Southfield area, in Berkley and in Beverly Hills.
A DTE outage map also showed about 2,500 customers affected near Woodward and Square Lake in Bloomfield Hills. And up to 800 customers in Shelby Township were without power near Van Dyke and 23 Mile Road.
With a heat advisory in effect all day, it was not known if the outages were weather-related. The power was expected to be back on for all customers by late Wednesday night.
