Thanksgiving Day: Detroit People Mover Hours
DETROIT (WWJ) - If your thinking about using the People Mover to navigate around Downtown Detroit on Thursday, you're not alone.
The People Mover will open at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day to accommodate visitors and families attending the Thanksgiving Day races, America's Thanksgiving Parade and the Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers game.
Stations closest to the parade procession are Grand Circus Park, Broadway and Cadillac Center. Don't forget to note that Grand Circus Park is a stairway-only station; patrons requiring elevators or escalators should use Broadway or Cadillac.
In addition to municipal parking locations, the COBO Center roof will be open from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.
People Mover service will run until 7 p.m. Thursday and return to its regular schedule on Friday, Nov. 25.
Fare to ride the People Mover is 75 cents; children ages five and under ride free.
