Thanks To Trade School, Classic Muscle Car Running on CNG

TROY (WWJ) -- The Center for Professional Studies, the Troy technical trade school, said last week it had signed up Auburn Hills-based EDAG as a Platinum Corporate Sponsor to provide resources, equipment and support on the center's conversion of a 2003 Mustang GT.

This vehicle currently runs on gasoline and alcohol injection and puts out 469 HP at the rear wheels. Center officials say they're using the car to prove the point that using compressed natural gas does not decrease horsepower by modifying this classic muscle car to also run on CNG and alcohol injection without losing horsepower.

The center is also still soliciting companies to help fund this effort. Interested companies should visit www.cpspoly.com.

All unveiling events will be held at the Woodward Warehouse, a collector car storage club. More at www.woodwardwarehouse.com.
