Teen Charged In Flint Home Invasion, Murder
A 14-year-old boy has been charged in the murder of an elderly Flint woman.
Genesee County prosecutor David Leyton says the boy has been charged as an adult in the shooting death of the 73-year-old woman on Wednesday.
Police said Merlyne Wray was killed at her home during a robbery.
The teen faces seven charges, including murder, home invasion, carjacking, armed robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
A 16-year-old boy is being held at the Genesee Valley Detention Center as the investigation continues. Police say he was with the 14-year-old when the two were arrested in Wray's stolen vehicle.
