TCF Bank In Ypsi Robbed
YPSILANTI (WWJ) - The Washtenaw County Sheriff's office is searching for three men they say robbed TCF bank in Ypsilanti Township at gunpoint.
WWJ spoke with Derek Jackson of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's office. Jackson says two of the three men ran into the bank wearing masks and wearing all black, one stayed near the door and stood guard and the other jumped over the counter and took the money then the two ran out of the bank into the waiting stolen white Caravan.
"We're looking for three individuals; a black man about 5'8" to 6'1" a white man about 5'5" and the third, the driver we don't have a good description right now," say Jackson.
They fled in a white Dodge Caravan which was recovered by deputies a short time later just down the street from the bank. Jackson says they later found that white Dodge Caravan near the bank and says it turns out it was stolen from Melvindale.
Anyone with any information on the robbery at the TCF Bank at Hewitt and Packard call the sheriff's office of 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
